Struggles
I have been struggling. There's no doubt about it. I feel like I've been in a constant state of stress the past month and a bit. Been really trying my best to manage it, and to keep it out of my Kung Fu, but that hasn't been easy.
I'm not going to get into too many details, but my business is going through a very turbulent period. Trying to change things to get a financial step-up, and now dealing with some fallout and having, as of now, 4 resignations. Whether the resignations are a direct cause, or if they were going to happen regardless I can't say. Either way, it has been a mental burden. I am seeking help to get better strategies at managing my stress levels during this time, as I have exhausted the breadth of my resources.
As far as my Kung Fu, I know the stress is starting to impact it indirectly. From a purely physical standpoint, my sleep quality has really dropped, lots of sleepless nights. My appetite has been virtually non-existent, so haven't been giving my body the proper fuel, and it shows in the warm-ups and forms work, where I am getting exhausted quicker, and having a harder time recovering. Even workouts and my push-ups/sit-ups, there is a soreness that has been lasting longer than normal. Mentally I'm trying to keep my head straight in class. Being at the Kwoon definitely helps me mentally detach from the world outside. It's a few hours in my week where I can have fun and focus on just myself.
That's where I stand right now. I know this period will pass, but for now I need to move through it and keep my goals in-front of me.
I hope the situation will improve for you soon enough. In situations like these I try to anchor on the things that ground me and keep me going.
