Building a Snowman in the Middle of July

This past weekend I ventured out to a Waterton National Park for the first time.  The main purpose of the trip was to hike Crypt Lake.  It was a full day, from getting on the ferry to cross the lake over to the hiking ground at 8:30 am, followed by a 6 hr hike.  We spent some time having lunch and taking a dip in the glacial water of Crypt lake at the end of the hike. We even walked around to the far side of the lake, which is technically across the 49th parallel and into Montana.  This is where we built a snowman.
