Internal Qi
The week we were off for spring break I did not get much Kung Fu done. Pretty much zero. I had a fever that took 3 days to break. Basically alternated between feeling like I was freezing, even though my skin was hot to the touch. I had a headache and body aches. No appetite whatsoever. It was a great way to spend the break.
Anyways, my first class back was Tai Chi, and I noticed something that I probably have before, but it manifested differently for me. As we were going through the move we learned, I was noticing I was having a hard time feeling my energy through the technique. So I started to analyze the movements. The thing is, my physical alignment was pretty solid, not perfect, but solid. So I went a bit deeper. I was still feeling off, I know my digestion and everything still didn’t feel great. There it was, my internal Qi was depleted and so I couldn’t manifest it physically the way I wanted to.
It was a good reminder for me to look deeper (internally) as to why might feel off, and not just look at the external. Secondly, a good reminder of how much our internal energy (digestion, mood, etc.), can influence our external harmonies.
