Turning flaws into strengths

One of the best things about joining Kung Fu, for me, has been that it's showed me my deficits in my overall training.  My darn hips.  I'll be 33 this year, but sometimes it feels like I'll be turning 63.  I've never really had to move my hips the way I have to in Kung Fu.  Usually my movement are very linear, and either moving in a forward motion like running, or in an up and down motion like squatting.  So when it comes to throwing kicks, especially kick after kick, my hips let me know that there is work to be done.
The good news, is that like all my other training, it's something that I just need to work on, repetition after repetition.
