Year of the Horse is personally a big year for me.  Transition to a Black belt for one, and becoming a father.  Two big milestones and new responsibility.  I can't say the year started off the way I would have liked too, but then again neither did my grading year, and it still went well.  I may be injured and will likely be off the mats for quite a few weeks, that doesn't mean my training has come to a halt.  I'm still able to train and learn.  I'll still be at the Kwoon on the bench, taking in the lessons and watching, looking for insights.

I'll have to be creative with my forms: DMH V and dual axes, but I'll manage.  Push-Ups and Sit-Ups should still be no problem.  For Km's, I'm thinking exercise bike in the near future is my best bet.  I did recently get approved to start doing that from my physio, so yay.  A personal goal of mine is to read 12 books this year, and I got a head start the last couple of months and have currently read 3 (minus the kids books I've been reading to baby almost nightly).  I'm luck that the Dungeon Crawler Carl series has 8 books out currently, and I've read the first 2.  I read The Hail Mary Project, which is also being adapted into a movie coming out next month.  Currently I am reading the Midnight Library.  My other goal is to maintaining weekly one-on-ones and exploring the History of our lineage.

As for my injury, the paperwork is being sent to a sports physio doctor that works out of Grant MacEwan.  My physio knows that I keep pretty active and wants the best possible route for me getting back to doing what I love.  I've been consistent with my exercises, and though it may not look the prettiest, I'm still able to do Tai Chi.  I am very much aware I'm looking at 8-12 weeks of recovery +.  8-12 to get back to a more stable level, and then more to get back more functionality.
